Odisha Sumangal Yojana Portal launch
On October 28, Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik unveiled two websites: the Odisha Sumangalam Portal and the Integrated Odisha State Scholarship. The new Odisha Sumangal platform would make it easier and more transparent for state-eligible students to receive scholarship benefits.
This portal will assist in promoting intercaste marriage. Eight state departments will offer about twenty-one scholarships. The Unified Odisha State Scholarship Portal would help over 11 lakh students who belong to Scheduled Tribes, Scheduled Castes, Other Backward Classes, and Educationally Backward Classes. We can only offer the public the greatest services at the appropriate time, efficiently, and transparently by utilizing technology.
With this gateway, prospective students can apply from home within a set time window, reducing the distance between them and government departments. The portal will be used to manage the departments of agriculture, labor and ESI, schools and mass education, higher education, skill development and technical education, and SC and ST vocational programs. Scholarship funds will be instantly put into students’ bank accounts because this portal favors the state treasury.
